Aleida Oberholzer
Originally from Bloemfontein South Africa, Aleida immigrated to Canada at 9 years old. She resided in the rural community of Radville SK for 8 years before commencing undergraduate studies at the University of Saskatchewan. Now, she is proud to call Saskatoon home.
Aleida received her bachelor’s degree in Political Studies at the University of Saskatchewan in 2014. While in undergrad she worked as a student research assistant, where she was assigned a variety of projects with Dr. Smith in the areas of Canadian Constitutional and Charter Law.
Aleida graduated the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan in 2017. During her summer, she was a recipient of a University of Saskatchewan funding to complete an international internship at a real estate law firm in London, United Kingdom.
While in law school, she was accepted into the criminal intensive practicum where Brian Pfefferle was her professor and as a result worked at the Rural Legal Aid Office here in Saskatoon.
After graduating law, she was able to work with local criminal law practitioners Ron Piché and Brian Pfefferle assisting in trials, court appearances, and written arguments. Aleida has now appeared in all levels of court in Saskatchewan in Criminal Defence. Aleida has a diverse background of work experience, travel, athletics, and extracurricular activities providing a well-rounded perspective for solving legal issues for clients. Aleida looks forward to a legal practice using small town work ethic and her direct people-oriented approach to problem-solving for clients.
