Andrew (Drew) was born and raised in Regina SK. He has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Regina, and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan. He articled to the Court of Queen’s Bench in Regina, and practiced law in a medium size firm for three years. Drew took a year away from the practice to act as a Ministerial Advisor at the Saskatchewan Legislature. After this short detour into the world of politics, he returned to legal practice with a focus on criminal law.

From 2009 to 2023, Drew worked as a public defender in the Regina City Legal Aid office. This was aphenomenal experience, providing an opportunity to fight many cases – from thefts to homicides. In addition to honing his craft as a trial lawyer, Drew helped create the Regina Mental Health Court and acted as its duty counsel on top of his trial duties for the first three years of its existence. Drew has had lengthy, meaningful experience working as defence counsel, and has a history of novel and innovative arguments in pursuit of justice for his clients. His work has a public defender has exposed him to all aspects of the justice system, and all the many different people who are touched by it. He has volunteered at the Regina pro bono legal clinic for more than six years, and has given several talks and seminars to colleagues and students about developments in the law and practice.

He has represented clients at all levels of court in Saskatchewan, and has extensive experience with major litigation, including dangerous and long-term offender proceedings and proceedings where mental health defences are prominent. Drew joined Pfefferle Law in 2023 because he wanted to represent a broad array of clients, and focus on bringing exceptional legal defence to the citizens of Regina and surrounding areas. An outstanding criminal defence team should include lawyers in both of Saskatchewan’s largest centres. Drew lives in Regina, and spends his free time with family and many lifelong friends.
